Big Red Rising is back for its 10th outing on 7th July at The Big Red in London, and DUCHESS are on the bill! "We are noble heroes fighting the oppressive evil of the new wave of meaningless music with the force of the greatest rock'n'roll of the generation...this is Duchess. We are on a mission!"
Duchess describe themselves as more than the music but a performance, theatrical and "beyond explainable", so if their description of their stage show is anything to go by then Big Red Rising 10 should be one to remember.
Speaking about Big Red Rising, the band are excited to be part of it; "The high level of the bands that get to play there, it's a very healthy competition for us and love the challenge, we wanna be the best band around so…" They lament a lack of genuine and unconventional talent around at the moment - "Very few bands, there's a lot of crap of there, and very few good bands... Guitars have ghosts, Gallow Circus, Dead Mans Whiskey, Red Hawk Rising…" - and are very much looking forward to showing London exactly what Duchess is all about, "Peacock rock".
Duchess are on a mission - to entertain and to "bring rock'n'roll back to the masses… We are the best live show in town!" With flamboyant shows and "killer guitars", these guys have big ambitions- "Queen, [Rolling] Stones, Foo Fighters, Deep Purple. Our music belongs with the giants, and we love the challenge… the Bigger the BETTER darling, in everything!"
Catch them at Big Red Rising 7th July at The Big Red, Holloway Road, London.
