BLIND HAZE are the support tonight to an already healthy turnout of fans. Hailing from Leeds, this three-piece hard rock / metal outfit consist of Conan - Vocals, Bass, Nicky Jefferson – Guitars and Ben Bowers – Drums.

With no fanfare the guys simply tear into the first song, ‘Mine All Mine’, taken from the 2017 “The Bastard” EP. This turns out to be a 45 minute set of quality heavy metal, delivered with a rather distinctive confidence. They are clearly enjoying themselves on stage and that carries through to the sound delivered. Influences can clearly be heard in the musical onslaught offered here and there’s no surprise when Conan, wielding a Rickenbacker Bass, asks if there are any Motorhead fans in tonight.

Tearing into the epic ‘No Class’ the ever-growing crowd are now behind them and taking notice. This is no frills, flying by the seat of your pants, heavy metal.

Blind Haze currently have a two-track sampler out, titled ‘Snow Queen’, as a prelude to the incoming EP ‘Red Light Fever’, due to land in February 2019.

You can catch them live at this year’s Planet Rockstock or the Santiago Bar in Leeds on the 22nd December.

NASHVILLE PUSSY are now well into and indeed almost finished with their 30+ European “Pleased To Eat You Europe Pt.2” Tour, though you certainly can’t tell.

These guys have been bringing their raunchy, gritty and dirty rock & roll to the masses since 1997 and their energy and passion is unabated at The Rebellion in Manchester tonight. From the first song, ‘Kicked In The Teeth’, the band have the enthusiastic crowd in the palm of their hands and take them on a dirty Rock & Roll ride, through a very impressive setlist.

Lead singer and guitarist Blaine Cartwright knows his craft and heads up the front trio, throwing out dirty riffs with equally dirty vocals. Pouring beer into his hat and then drinking the contents is loudly appreciated by the crowd, as is the sharing of the contents of a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Lead guitarist Ruyter Suys is an energy bomb of an individual and just doesn’t stop moving. Beneath her long flailing blonde hair there lies a passionate guitarist giving her all to the cause. Ripping her strings apart to the final song she ends up laid on the stage, her guitar abused to pieces and totally exhausted. A comedic top up of JD, from a roadie, soon gets her up again though.

Bass guitarist Bonnie Buitrago also doesn’t stop for breath, throwing her well-seasoned bass around whilst thumping out a stomping bass line. Bonnie also helps with backing vocals, along with Ruyter, which compliment Blaine’s vocals nicely.

Introduced by Blaine, new drummer Ben Thomas looks comfortable, providing an excellent thumping beat along with some quality showboating and grins to boot. He may be new but though there’s no denying that he’s confident and talented.

There are a whopping 19 songs on the setlist, the room is hot and thus the band are all soaked to the skin by the end of a very impressive and manic display. They draw from their extensive catalogue including the recently released album “Pleased To Eat You”, with the enthusiastic crowd singing and bouncing along to every song delivering a chorus of backing vocalists.

Nashville Pussy know exactly what they are about, how to deliver it in bucket-loads to an appreciative crowd and absolutely know how to deliver it perfectly. Tonight’s crowd are yet another willing sponge who gleefully soak up the atmosphere, music and frivolities dished out. With only a couple more nights of the tour left you’ll have to be quick to catch them, though you won’t be disappointed with this no holds barred, no nonsense rock. Long may it continue.
