Nine Inch Nails - Burning Bright (Field On Fire)

That Trent Reznor is a tease isn’t he? After constantly repeating to the World that new NIN material would be released by the end of 2016, he has unveiled a brand new song “Burning Bright (Field On Fire).

The song is awash with Industrial, white noise and features Reznor’s trademark brooding menace. You can take a listen here.

The track itself will appear on the upcoming Nine Inch Nails EP “Not The Actual Events” which Trent has gone on record to describe as “an unfriendly, fairly impenetrable record that we needed to make.” The EP was recorded by Reznor and long-time collaborator, Atticus Ross and will be released December 23rd 2016.

Not The Actual Events EP Tracklist:

  1. Branches/Bones
  2. Dear World
  3. She’s Gone Away
  4. The Idea of You
  5. Burning Bright (Field on Fire)

As well as releasing this new EP, the band are also looking to reissue several of their earlier releases on vinyl including “The Fragile”, “The Downward Spiral” and “Broken” – the first of which will come with 37 bonus tracks!

Over the past few years Reznor has occupied himself with soundtracks and the last NIN release was “Hesitations Marks” (2013).

Nine Inch Nails are expected to put out a full new album and announce a tour for 2017.
