RAI KAH MERCURY - Terror Incognita (Single)

SAMANTHA LLOYD

‘Terror Incognita’ is the third release from Burton-Upon-Trent trio Rai Kah Mercury. Formed in January 2018 these lads are a fresh new band that bring a heavy, dramatic and soulful vibe to the world of music. Released on June 7th, 2018, and featured on Episode #77 of Down The Front Podcast, Rai Kah Mercury have managed to secure a wholesome and enriching sound with only 3 releases under their belt to boast about.

‘Terror Incognita’ is a great, bluesy rock track that ripples through the speakers, slips into your ears and caresses the soul. Vocally you’ll be in raptures for Tomas Creen’s voice, that deep soulful prowl of his rich tones accompanied by the rumbling groove of the bass from Reece Schaefer which will no doubt keep you engaged. The sound of the guitars acting like a siren calling you to follow as the drums from Joshua Anthony Lowe beat heavily, capturing the attention. It’s one of those tracks that feels like it’s lulling you into a chaotic trance of euphoria, and at times the culmination of all the instruments seem to override the senses causing your mind to swirl with the rhythm, the heavy feel that it exudes and the intoxicating rhythm feel like a drug that you just can’t seem to get enough of.

It’s a wonderfully mature track from such a new band. Keep your eyes on these guys! And go catch them live when you can.
