Originally from Australia, now relocated to the UK, TEQUILA MOCKINGBYRD are quickly becoming known for their fiery blend of rock-punk and the force of their live performance. In 2012, Richie Ramone's management hand-picked the band as tour support after hearing their cover of The Ramone’s classic 'Somebody Put Something in my Drink'. By 2015 the band were touring outside of Australia and in 2016 they released their debut album, 'Fight and Flight', which charted in Australia and has been on the playlist for Planet Rock radio. With performances at Hard Rock Hell and Planet Rockstock behind them, the band are a hit on the festival circuit and are appearing at Steelhouse and Wildfire, as well as touring the UK and Europe this year.

‘Tell Me’ opens with lush vocals alongside some spicy instrumental as the song takes flight and soars, a fast-paced, melodic and acutely catchy diamond-plated rock-pop song with punk sensibilities and attitude. There are pulsating drums, a thundering bass and clean, clear guitar riffs setting the scene for luscious honey-coated vocals from Baker, and backing vocals from O'Toole and Jaye.

The song doesn’t take its foot off the accelerator as it bursts forth from my headphones and burrows into my consciousness. The band's sound is catchy and fiery, the track just the right side of rock-pop; forceful and unyielding as well as fun and energetic. The chorus is catchy as! And man I wish I could sing like that. They're loud and powerful but have the ability to sound so angelic.

With their ability to create a catchy track or two, signature catchy melodies, and a true charisma and stage presence, I can't wait for the tour. The single is out 27th April. Make sure you catch it.
