To whet your appetite, here is David's review of their set at Planet RockStock.

"The mighty power trio Idlewar, comprised of Pete Pagonis (drums), James Blake (vocals / bass) & Rick Graham (guitars), hit the stage, satisfying old fans whilst creating new ones with their brand of raw, bluesy, Clutch influenced Rock.

The bottom end rumbled as they flew through their blistering set, creating a swirling, hypnotic mass of grooves. Like on their debut album Impulse, each member is given room to breathe throughout the songs and their use of dynamics allows for the songs to flow freely. Each member seemed to be enjoying themselves and it showed as their dirty Louisiana blues/sludge sound brought down the house. Instruments oozing with soul as the grooves kept on coming. The crowd lapped it up and before you knew it, it was all over. Idlewar have enjoyed success on their first UK tour and with album plans in the Spring, we hope it's not too long before we see them back here again"
