***Amplified Festival announce 3 more bands***

Cotswolds based festival Amplified has announced 3 more stellar bands to its’ line-up.

Joining this years festival are:

The Dirty Youth – With credentials that’d be the clear envy of many an artist in the rock industry, multiple Download Festival appearances, over ten million YouTube views and massive critical acclaim for their albums Red Light Fix and Gold Dust featuring a sound that is big ballsy anthemic hard rock with essences of punk and harmonious vocal melodies which is catchingly infectious! Recently signed to Marshall Records expect more infectious, raw, heavy and melodic anthems... more importantly, expect something fresh and exciting from the Dirty Youth here Headlining the Very Metal Art Stage.

The Hyde Project – A collective of musicians bringing you an evolving creation, taking lyrical inspiration from some of the worlds most prolific killers. Drawing styles from metal, hardcore and djent, the band are a powerhouse of groove that can’t be contained as the recording project it once was!

The Kut – Infused with the fuzz of 90’s grunge and alt.rock, The Kut perform live as a trio in the vein of Deftones, L7, Nirvana, Hole, Incubus and Placebo. Voted into the winning spots of the MTV Brand New Unsigned Poll for 2014, subsequent EP releases have gained support from The Guardian, Metro, Scuzz, Kerrang! Magazine, Planet Rock, BBC Introducing, Kerrang! Radio, Metal Hammer, Big Cheese, Q, Classic Rock and MTV USA. This year has seen The Kut featured as one of Kerrang! Magazine’s Breakthrough acts of 2017, while ‘The Kut EP’ was released on 500 limited edition discs featuring at number 4 in Kerrang! Magazine Top 10 Record Store Day Releases. The rest of the year saw them perform all over the UK and several dates across Europe. Her songwriting talent also saw Princess Maha as a finalist in the National UK Songwriting Contest. Currently in the studio finishing their debut album, 2018 promises to be the year of The Kut... They’re going to be seismic!

Amplified Festival Day 1

Amplified Festival Day 2

Amplified Festival Day 3

By Michelle Flynn

A new rock and metal festival is set to burst onto the scene this weekend in the shape of Amplified Festival. Set in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, this 3-day festival boasts a host of established acts from around the world and a wealth of talent from up and coming bands spread across it's four stages. With over 100 bands to choose from, I'm looking forward to catching bands who I've not yet had the chance to see along with others who are completely new to me; I find this to be one of the most exciting aspects of the summer festivals, finding a new band is like unwrapping the best Christmas present.

Amplified have also created a handy clashfinder which can be downloaded here I am currently colouring mine in with a highlighter pen.

If the music isn't enough to keep you occupied, Amplified Festival have come up with some great ideas to keep you busy. You could have a go on The Devil's Mud Run water slide, watch some Attack! pro-wrestling, take a gander at the pro-skate exhibition ramp, or even take a hula class! Or for those of us who are less active, relax and enjoy the culinary delights on offer from one of the many food stalls and sup a Motorhead ale. Amplified Festival is also hosting the launch of Neptune Rum so you can treat yourself to a taste of the Caribbean in the Gloucestershire countryside.

My must-see bands for Amplified Festival are:

The Fallen State – Red Stripe Main Stage – 15.00-15.30

The Amorettes – Red Stripe Main Stage – 17.00-17.45
