After an arduous trip with cancelled shows due to unreleased visas, Ukraine’s JINJER gave arguably one of the strongest performances of the entire weekend here at Gloucestershire’s Amplified Festival.

You guys wanted them back so here they are in 2019 headlining the Red Stripe Main Stage Friday July 19th ...their FIRST EVER UK Festival Headline!

With numerous line-up changes since their inception and three albums 'Inhale, Don't Breathe', 'Cloud Factory' and 'King Of Everything' along with being voted as The Best Ukrainian Metal Act in 2013 and 2016 at the Ukrainian Metal Act Awards they have gone from strength to strength selling out shows across the globe.

Currently, on tour across the US supporting Devil Driver, headline tours booked in across the South Americas, Mexico and Japan to follow, there's no stopping one of the hardest working bands out there. The world is there for the taking and Jinjer are going to grasp it with 4 pairs of hands and they're not letting go until you submit...and you will, trust us you will.

Joining them on the Red Stripe Main Stage bill Friday, July 19th are rugby-based wars, bringing their brand of vitriolic metallic hardcore with them. Performing alongside is the 6-piece metalcore band from Northern California aptly named KINGDOM OF GIANTS...their sound is literally massive!

The Red Stripe Main Stage line-up will also additionally feature progressive thrash metal in the form of SIN THETA from Newcastle upon Tyne here on Saturday July 20th, and on Sunday July 21st Scottish hard rock band THE AMORETTES are back at AMPLIFIED FESTIVAL following their 'storming' performance in 2017...thankfully despite unsubstantiated reports of their demise here in 2017 they're ALL still very much alive and kicking!

Headlining the Very Metal Art Stage Saturday 20th July are the legendary American thrash and progressive metal band FLOTSAM & JETSAM. With 12 albums released and the title of the only band to achieve a 6K rating in a KERRANG review, their most recent opus entitled 'Flotsam & Jetsam' being another critically acclaimed release. Album number 13 is due out this year, the band continue to grace stages at festivals the world over so it was only right that we invited them here to Amplified Festival.

Joining the Very Metal Art Stage as the Sunday headliners are MEMORIUM featuring former Bolt Thrower vocalist Karl Willetts, MEMORIUM are a band with a substantial and proud Death Metal heritage and are ones not to be missed.

And continuing with the Very Metal Art Stage headliners on Friday 19th July, Liverpool based doom metal band CONAN bring their heavily distorted and down-tuned, sound. It has been described as "caveman battle doom" delivering unending hammer blows unto the earth! It's going to be heavy!

In addition, the festival announces THE SIXPOUNDER will be appearing here at Amplified Festival on the G's Stage Sunday 21st July. THE SIXPOUNDER beginnings date back to the year 2006 to a city called Wrocław in Poland.

The musical style that it presents is a combination of groove metal, melodic metalcore and melodic death metal and this gained them a following which quickly allowed them to perform at festivals such as Przystanek Woodstock and Wacken.

Revered back in their home country and all across mainland Europe you'll soon see why we had to invite them here to Amplified Festival's also going to be heavy, very heavy so get ready!!

Remaining Early Bird Tickets will be on sale until midnight on the 31st October, 2018 via the festival website. For full details visit:

With Amplified Festival only a few short days away, DTF managed to catch up with some of the bands that are set to perform at the 3 day Festival from Friday 6th July - Sunday 8th July, 2018.

This year sees Amplified Festival returning for its second year with an impressive three day line up of bands from across the globe that includes legendary acts such as Soil, Evil Scarecrow and Therapy? on the main stage. The festival’s three stages will also see fresh up and coming bands with eyes full of ambition - all gathered to ensure this weekend of rock and metal is a memorable experience.

In 2017, the festival suffered from the great British weather and the organisers were forced to make difficult decisions to ensure the event went ahead. Their respect for those who came to the festival and the bands who were gracious in the face of adversity has earned the festival a loyalty from its ticket buyers and performers that many similar events should be rightly jealous of.

The festival is running from 6th to 8th July at Quarrydowns, Eastington in Gloucestershire and tickets are on sale, so grab them now while you still can.

Amplified Festival finalise line-up with a UK Festival exclusive earlier than scheduled.

In what had been scheduled for announcement on Friday 9th March, festival organisers have decided that following the last week's weather they'd say “F*ck the Snow” and give fans a little something to warm up with, making a UK festival exclusive appearance as none other than US based SOiL.

Formed in 1997, Chicago heavy rock band SOiL quickly took the scene by storm, selling countless millions of records worldwide with hit singles such as “HALO”. A global crowd rebel rouser, “Unreal”, “Redefine”, “The Lesser Man” and “Shine On”.

With a blistering 'in the crowd' live show to match their perfectly crafted songs, the band consistently toured in support of such names as Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie.

After celebrating their 20th Anniversary last year, SOiL entered into the studio to record new material to be included on “Scream: The Essentials”, their greatest hits collection, so expect to hear the crowd indeed screm in perfect union.

We're so proud to bring you this band and finalise an already stunning line-up. To anyone unfamiliar SoiL are a band with a monumental  stage presence and earth shattering vocals that flat out blow you away, emotive songs, raw, deep and heavy... SOiL are here with a vengeance!!! Haloooooooooo on Friday here at Amplified 2018.
With the announcement this finalises the 2018 incarnation of the festivals line-up. With a few more surprises still to come, Amplified Festival is now ready. Are you?

***Amplified Festival 2018 announce Sunday Headliner.***

Costsowlds based Amplified Festival are proud to announce that closing out this years event is none other than Northern Ireland's Multi Million album selling THERAPY?

Bursting on to the scene in the early 90's, their short, sharp blasts of metal were given an alternative slant by merging it with a post-punk Wire/Gang of Four guitar sound. Therapy? Had a sinister edge through songwriter Andy Cairn's pre-occupation with religion, alcoholism, death, self-hate and general dissolution cunningly masked beneath big choruses and an outlook beyond the metal scene they were categorised into.

One of Northern Ireland's success stories, with fourteen albums, has seen a consistent touring schedule performing their hits such as Teethgrinder and Potato Head along with tracks off their million selling album 'Troublegum' such as Screamager, Knives and Nowhere.

There's also A Moment of Clarity, Misery and their haunting Husker Du cover Diane off their critically acclaimed album 'Infernal Love' where they moved away from their own punk-metal roots to create a broad epic cinematic soundscape, even performing it in it's entirety at Sonisphere Festival in 2014.

Their career, so far has seen them outlast competitors and outwit industry attempts at categorisation, Therapy? are still headbangers with their thinking caps screwed on and their influence clearly inspires the likes of Biffy Clyro and every other band who merges rock, punk, metal and big ideas equally and they still sound as fresh as they did more than twenty five years on!

Amplified, get ready for something special from across the water.

Joining Therapy? On Sunday, after a blistering set on the New Blood Stage at 2017's Bloodstock Open Air Festival are Ward XVI.

The gates of Whittingham Asylum have been struck open and for the first time in history the High Security Ward XVI invites members of the public to meet face to face with the UK's most violent serial killers. The Ward's longest-standing resident Psychoberrie, listed as the UK's most dangerous criminal, will give an insight to her life prior to her incarceration. With assistance from medical staff Alex, Dr. Stott and fellow inmate Jake she will tell the story of the reckless life led by herself and former partner Beardy McStumble, and the narcotic induced murders that took place prior to his own decapitation. This is a sordid tale of deceit and manipulation represented with a genre defying mix of hard-hitting metal riffs, off-beat Ska rhythms, melancholic piano, accordion, catchy female vocals, a hint of electro and to top it all off, an engaging energetic theatrical live show. Ward XVI are a sight to behold. Look out Amplified, the Ward is open.

With the announcement, fans will notice that Evil Scarecrow have moved to the Saturday Headline slot and the Friday headline act will be announced soon. Any fans who have purchased day tickets will be notified and arrangements will be made. Regardless of the small change, Amplified Festival is shaping up to place itself firmly on the Festival map.

VIP, Standard, Day and Family tickets are now on sale at to be sure to get yours today. You don't want to miss out on what will truly be a memorable weekend.

Amplified Festival Day 1

Amplified Festival Day 2

Amplified Festival Day 3

By Michelle Flynn

A new rock and metal festival is set to burst onto the scene this weekend in the shape of Amplified Festival. Set in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, this 3-day festival boasts a host of established acts from around the world and a wealth of talent from up and coming bands spread across it's four stages. With over 100 bands to choose from, I'm looking forward to catching bands who I've not yet had the chance to see along with others who are completely new to me; I find this to be one of the most exciting aspects of the summer festivals, finding a new band is like unwrapping the best Christmas present.

Amplified have also created a handy clashfinder which can be downloaded here I am currently colouring mine in with a highlighter pen.

If the music isn't enough to keep you occupied, Amplified Festival have come up with some great ideas to keep you busy. You could have a go on The Devil's Mud Run water slide, watch some Attack! pro-wrestling, take a gander at the pro-skate exhibition ramp, or even take a hula class! Or for those of us who are less active, relax and enjoy the culinary delights on offer from one of the many food stalls and sup a Motorhead ale. Amplified Festival is also hosting the launch of Neptune Rum so you can treat yourself to a taste of the Caribbean in the Gloucestershire countryside.

My must-see bands for Amplified Festival are:

The Fallen State – Red Stripe Main Stage – 15.00-15.30

The Amorettes – Red Stripe Main Stage – 17.00-17.45

Departed – Red Stripe Main Stage – 18.15-19.00

Trucker Diablo – Very Metal Art Stage – 19.00-19.45

Puddle of Mudd – Red Stripe Main Stage – 21.30-23.00

Scarsun – Very Metal Art Stage – 12.30-13.00

Chasing Dragons – Very Metal Art Stage – 13.30-14.00

Ramage Inc. - Very Metal Art Stage – 15.30-16.00

Massive Wagons – Very Metal Art Stage – 19.00-19.45

Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons – Red Stripe Main Stage – 21.30-23.00

Fragile Things – Red Stripe Main Stage – 12.30-13.00

Bad Touch – Red Stripe Main Stage – 16.30-17.05

Massive – Red Stripe Main Stage – 17.40-18.20

Shvpes – Shoot Your Hoops Stage – 19.15-19.45
