It’s crazy to think that the RAMBLIN’ MAN FAIR is only in its 5th year. So swiftly has it established itself as one of the highlights of the festival calendar it seems like it’s been around for far longer. Having previously drawn acts such as MOTT THE HOOPLE, SCORPIONS and ZZ TOP, it has proved it can bring in the best classic rock bands in the business. This year is no exception with a line-up that includes FOREIGNER, CHEAPTRICK  and FM, but RAMBLIN’ MAN also offers the best in contemporary rock too. Saturday’s headliners are BLACK STONE CHERRY, while across the weekend bands such as AIRBORNE, INGLORIOUS and THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT will be strutting their stuff on the main stage. This year they are also opening up the gates for a bit of extra fun on the Friday evening where headliners THE DARKNESS will be joined by good friends and Brit Rock stalwarts THE WILDHEARTS, the bluesy goodness of KRIS BARRAS BAND and up-and-coming Aussies THE LAZYS.

But where RAMBLIN’ MAN really stands out is when you move away from the main stage and look at the diversity on offer across the weekend on the various other stages. Whether it’s the Outlaw Country stage, Prog in the Park, the Blues Stage, the heavier Grooverider stage or the incredibly DTF-friendly Rising Stage there really is something for every rocker. If you close your eyes and stick a pin in the poster you’re almost guaranteed to hit a great band, whether it’s BETH HART, ORANGE GOBLIN, KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD or less well-known bands such as BLIND RIVER, RYDER’S CREED or MATT MITCHELL & THE COLDHEARTS there’s so much to get excited about, and honestly, we’re only skimming the surface here.

In the unlikely event that there’s a time when you want to tear yourself away from the music, this year there is also a tattooist on site, RAMBLIN’ MAN have their very own ale for you to sample and of course there’s plenty of merch for you spend your hard-earned cash on.

Set in the glorious surroundings of Kent’s Mote Park and with the sunny weather finally looking like it’s set to stay, what better way to spend a weekend than listening to some of the best rock bands in the business entertaining you long into night? RAMBLIN’ MAN has gone from strength to strength every year in its short history, and 2019 doesn’t look like it’s about to buck the trend. We, of course, will be there in force, so why not grab your tickets now and we’ll see you down the front.
