KAIBER KOI – Archaic Wave (Single)
I smiled as soon as the intro started. And then I noticed it was over six minutes long. It takes balls to write a song that long these days, especially for a new group but I think bands should do that, take the risk and go for it. The more bands that do this, the more airplay long, epic songs will get – well, ideally.
This is definitely ear worm material. It’s heavy, thumps through the headphones and your head will be nodding the whole way through, which might result in you getting funny looks in the office but it’s worth it. The vocals ease you in and are very controlled, with an expansive range, creating an almost Middle Eastern vibe at times, whether intentional or not.
There are great riffs throughout, both simple and complex. The lyrics are dark, demanding and almost vengeful, but always passionate with lingering notes. Bass and drums give it strength to make this track a solid intro to KAIBER KOI that will stick with you.
‘Archaic Wave’ hasn’t deceived me, (watch the video on you tube and you will understand) – this is talent, believe me.
