The Gig Gals, the media site dedicated to live music reviews and album reviews, have announced today that they will be operating under a new name, and will be known as Down The Front Media effective immediately. The company’s ownership and staff have not changed.
Co-Owner/Operator David Lydiard said “We believe that the rebranding of The Gig Gals was appropriate to more accurately reflect what we do and what we are. This comes at a time when we have begun to expand our operations and we felt the change was not only important moving forward, but necessary.”
“We are very excited about the new name. We believe that the name Down The Front Media allows us to better represent our business as we continue to move forward and grow. The goal initially was to champion live music and present it from the perspective of the gig-goer, but as we’ve gone on, we’ve developed into a more rounded media site which has allowed us to reach more people. All of our services are backed by the same experienced team and bring the same unique approach that our followers rely on”
“Changing our name to Down The Front Media formalizes a shift in strategy that has been underway for several months. Whilst we take great pride in what we have achieved so far, with the development of the Down The Front Podcast, as well as the development of our parent company Ouroboros PR, the makeup of our team has changed, and that, coupled with the expansion of the content that we produce, means that our legacy name no longer fully described our company. We want to ensure that our image and name accurately reflect what we do.”
