Ahead of the release of their second EP on Friday via free digital download, London based post-hardcore act Jack The Envious have released a new lyric video. 'Mrs
Grim' marks a transition towards a new phase for the band, as they prepare to unleash 'In Your Own Way' on the world.
Formed in 2012 by Nir Perlman (Vocals), and Guy Avnon (Guitar), Jack The Envious were later joined by Guy Checkarov (Bass) during their military service. Between
2011 and 2014, Jack The Envious focused mainly on perfecting their live show and writing songs, struggling to mix both national service and band life together.
After releasing their debut EP, 'Pull You Down', last year the band had very successful local shows while maintaining new content releases. Aiming to branch out, they left everything behind and moved to the UK on January 2017. 'Mrs Grim' is the third single from the EP, and is the follow-up to 'Begging For More' and 'Guilty', both released earlier this year.
With new material eager to be heard, Jack The Envious can't wait to get out playing more shows, having recently blown away the crowd at the Black Heart in Camden, the band are hoping to replicate that successful show everytime they play.
Want to know more about 'Mrs Grim', Jack The Envious comment:
Sometimes in our writing, we get a certain emotions that we feel are more suitable to be transferred as fictional stories. The emotion is real, but we feel it's an amazing experience to sometime exaggerate them a little and make them more of a theatrical story. Its like a "based on a real story" movie kind of thing. We're not afraid to say most of it is fictional but we feel the rest should definitely speak for itself.

Jack The Envious are preparing to release their second EP 'In Your Own Way', via free digital download this Friday. On the EP, the band have this to say:
"We've got so many songs in our arsenal at the moment, it's been crazy to choose only five songs, but we wanted to keep it simple. Bands change all the time, a little here, a little there. With that being said, we wanted to capture it yet give the listeners who already know us that familiar JTE vibe. The songs are, in a way, very different from each other, but at the same time contain the guidelines of a JTE song.
We never settled on one style of writing, and every time it's a different journey but with the same friends."
