UK Hard Rock Power Trio SKAM Release New Single 'Between The Eyes'

UK hard rock power trio, SKAM, are thrilled to announce the release of a new single, Between The Eyes on Friday 25th August 2017.

The song is taken from their 3rd album, The Amazing Memoirs of Geoffrey Goddard (#TAMOGG), scheduled for release on Friday 17th November 2017 and available now on pre-order at in multiple formats – MP3, CD and Vinyl.

The album features 11 original songs written and performed by SKAM. Recorded at AXIS Studios in Doncaster, UK in late 2016 it was produced, mixed and mastered by Matt Ellis. The exceptional album artwork was especially commissioned and produced by Jack Morrey.

The album features a story-arc of Squadron Leader Geoffrey Goddard, a test pilot from 1935, who is a victim of strange forces that jolt him through time. The songs and accompanying album artwork, videos and booklets tell his tale as he battles to return home and at times, for his very sanity.

Singer/Guitarist, Steve Hill, said, “We have been living and breathing this for a couple of years now; writing, crafting, honing what has become our third album. We have gone old school with the whole thing, from recording it ‘as a band in a room’, through to gatefold vinyl and really going to town on the artwork. So, to say we can’t wait for folk to hear it and experience it, is possibly THE understatement of 2017.”

Between The Eyes is the second single taken from the album. Released on Friday 25th August it will be available via all good digital outlets and streaming sites.

The song is accompanied by music video produced by SKAM and edited by Video Ink. It was filmed at Newark Air Museum. Newark Air Museum is located on a former Royal Air Force station at Winthorpe, near Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire, England.

Guitarist Steve Hill recently broke 2 fingers on his left (fret) hand while playing rugby. (see pic below)

Steve said, "I like to play rugby to keep in shape for the road but this time I tackled a guy and after landing saw my 2 fingers facing the opposite direction. I thought they were just dislocated so put them back the right way but overnight the bruising and swelling didn't go down, so I went for an x-ray and they confirmed I have broken them."

He continued, "We never cancel gigs, so I've been learning how to play with just 2 fingers and reckon I can master a good 45min set. So our summer shows can go ahead!"
